Feel Better and Improve Your Life and Relationships
The goal of therapy is to help people feel and function better. Whether you enter therapy as a result of feelings of depression and anxiety or whether you are seeking new ways of problem-solving, the following therapies and evaluations are designed to improve the quality of your life.
Individual Psychotherapy - Individual psychotherapy can be helpful as you try and come to terms with issues and concerns that have negative consequences for you. There are many approaches to accomplish good outcomes and you and I will determine what method works best for you.
Group Psychotherapy - Group psychotherapy provides support and insight from others in addition to the therapist. Trusting relationships are formed and confidentiality is maintained. Fees for group therapy generally are lower.
Couples Therapy - The importance of maintaining good relationships with a partner cannot be overstated. When communication breaks down, problem solving is negatively affected and difficulties increase. Helping couples to listen, talk, and emotionally connect with each other are some of the objectives in therapy.
Family Therapy - Family therapy aides in identifying and understanding how current unhealthy approaches to situations have impaired relationships while helping to develop more positive ways of interacting with each member.
Psychological Evaluations - Diagnostic tests are utilized to help determine the cause or causes of difficulties and determine methods for help. Sometimes an evaluation is required for medical purposes, e.g., before surgical procedures. |
